PROBLEM
The BAC Education Group has always been technology-driven but embraced new digital technologies when faced with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Movement Control Order (implemented in Malaysia as a result of the pandemic) caused the Group to move its convocation ceremonies online to accommodate students and their families. However, the Group did not have a solution for the distribution of its degree certificates, and mailing hard-copy documents to international students was expensive, manual, and tedious. The solution had to be implemented quickly in time for IACT College’s upcoming convocation occurring in 2 weeks. Because of the situation’s urgency, the BAC Education Group sought a cost-effective and hassle-free solution that was user-friendly and could be implemented quickly.
SOLUTION
BAC Education reached out to Accredify and within 9 days, the Group completed its onboarding and training procedures with Accredify as well as designed, endorsed, and issued its degree certificates – all in time for IACT’s e-convocation which became the first e-convocation in Malaysia!
Additionally, BAC Education was able to:
- Issue certificates and transcripts to graduates via email during the virtual convocation ceremony in real-time
- Allow students to verify their graduation certificates directly on the colleges’ individual websites
- Save cost on the printing and delivery of hard-copy documents
