In this issue of Accredify Digest, Accredify’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Quah Zheng Wei, reflects on what Accredify has achieved in the past year under his team’s leadership, and shares about the direction Accredify is heading in for 2022.

The beginning of a new year is always accompanied by a palpable sense of possibility. With 2021 still visible in our rear-view mirror, and the road ahead for 2022 brimming with potential, we are presented with a unique opportunity for reflection.

Growth in the team

Accredify’s team has grown by 210% in just 2021 alone. We’re building our capabilities to lay the foundation for accelerated growth this year, as we pursue our ambition to pioneer the world’s transition towards verifiable data.

Growth in revenue

Our revenue has quadrupled in 2021, thanks to the support of our partners. This is an immensely encouraging milestone for the Accredify team.

Growth in brands that trust us

More organisations now trust our brand and solutions. In 2021, we were helping close to 1,000 organisations worldwide, from just 50 firms in 2020. We’ve also expanded our list of partners to include international organisations such as SAP, IBM, IATA, and Becton, Dickinson and Company.

Growth in the use of verification technology

We have issued over a million verifiable documents in total. Just in the past year, we issued three times as many Accredify-issued documents (we call these “Accredified documents”!) compared to 2020. Accredified documents have also been verified close to 10 million times. This is a clear signal of the world’s shift towards verification technology, as businesses begin finding ways to build trust into their daily operations and processes.

In addition to the above, together with our partners and clients, we have also achieved significant milestones specific to the Healthcare, Human Resources, and Education verticals.

We recognised the critical role verifiable data could play in managing the COVID-19 pandemic, by empowering authorities with the ability to verify the authenticity of an individual’s COVID-19 status. With that knowledge, we plunged into co-developing Singapore’s digital verifiable COVID-19 test result known as HealthCerts back in July 2020 with Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and GovTech Singapore.

As of December 2021, HealthCerts is recognised in 4 continents and by over 70 airlines around the world.

Our healthcare solution enabled healthcare partners to issue COVID-19 test results in HealthCerts, and other internationally recognised travel standards, such as EU DCC, SMART Health Card and IATA Travel Pass. With Accredify, our healthcare partners were able to readily support travellers around the world, while keeping international travel safe for everyone.

Last year, we focused on expanding our network of healthcare partners to facilitate cross-border travel for people around the world.

Currently, Accredify’s global network of healthcare partners spans 42 markets, 273 cities, and 1,237 clinics – meaning you can find an Accredify healthcare partner in almost any corner of the world.

Reopening physical office doors
Last September, we launched Accredify START to help Singaporean enterprises reopen safely amidst the pandemic.

The key challenge organisations faced when it came to bringing their workforce physically back to work was managing their employees’ COVID-19 status. From disparate COVID-19 testing requirements, to the complex and extremely manual task of recording employees’ COVID-19 status, it was clear that the pandemic has created the need for a better solution to monitor the COVID-19 status of employees.

Accredify START is Singapore’s first end-to-end COVID-19 Workforce Management System. It is a completely digital and automated system that allows employees to submit their self-administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART) results to HR teams who can track their workforce’s COVID-19 status more effectively.

The beauty of Accredify START is that it can be used by any organisation, in any industry. By allowing HR teams to automate testing reminders based on specific requirements that vary by industry and even function, Accredify START hopes to simplify the reopening of physical office doors across the nation – and the world – so companies can conduct business as usual in this unusual time.

Presently, Accredify START is being used by organisations across tech, construction, education, finance, medical, manufacturing, and offshore.

Simplifying education credential management

Accredify currently works with Asia Pacific’s and Europe’s top universities and adult learning institutions in education credential management.

By enabling the automation of creating and issuing tamper-evident, verifiable digital education credentials, our clients have reported reducing manhours spent on credential management by up to 50%. Last year, our clients have collectively moved towards greener operations by saving a quarter of a million printed certificates with their shift to Accredify’s digital certificates.

In 2021, we are humbled to have been recognised for the second consecutive year, as one of the Top 50 Southeast Asia EdTech Firms by HolonIQ.

Our plans for 2022
Accredify’s mission is to be the foremost verification solutions provider for moments when trust matters most.

In the coming year, our team will dedicate ourselves to this mission with a single-minded focus, through our strategic approach that involves:

• Developing our international presence with offices across the region
• Scaling up our team’s capabilities
• An increased focus on product development
• Expanding into new industry verticals through verifiable data innovations
